The Center for the Pacific Asian Family (CPAF) is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence, with a focus on Asian and Pacific Islander (API) women and families. Abuse within API communities is both prevalent and underreported: studies show that up to 55% of Asian women in the U.S. experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime, and nearly 1 in 5 experience intimate partner violence, stalking, or sexual assault.

Founded in 1978, CPAF addresses these realities through culturally responsive, language-specific services including crisis intervention, counseling AND shelter support. By centering cultural understanding and safety, CPAF works to reduce barriers to care and help survivors heal while strengthening healthier, violence-free communities.
