Welcome Home Oasis, located in long beach, is a faith-based recovery organization founded by Oscar Mejia , whose own lived experience with incarceration and personal transformation helps shape the heart of the mission. The organization supports individuals rebuilding their lives after homelessness, addiction, incarceration, trauma, and other major life challenges by creating a safe, stable, and recovery-centered environment rooted in compassion, accountability, and spiritual growth.
Through transitional housing, mentorship, wellness support, and community connection, Welcome Home Oasis helps people move toward healthier and more independent lives. Many of the young people in the program also receive hands-on vocational training through Dirtbags California, where they learn practical trades and job skills designed to help them build long-term stability, confidence, and independence.
